My Experiments with Web Teaching Tools: March 2009

Today we have enough resources on the web for successful practice of web teaching. By web teaching I mean harnessing web resources in entire process of teaching life cycle. The web has eliminated the three traditional barriers: Time, distance and language. These newly gained liberty i a boon for teachersbecause it enables them to reach out to global resources on the one side and student community spread around the world on the other and integrate them seamlessly.

In this blog I shall be chronicling my experiments in locating, exploring and integrating web resources into my teaching process

About the Author

This blog draws on practical experience of the author as a faculty in the department of computer science and engineering, SDMCET for over two decades. Every tool mentioned here has been tested and is being used today effectively by me, colleagues, students and often alumni. There are illustrations of, and references to, concrete examples on almost every post- drawn mostly from my experience.

Author is available to facilitate "web tools for teaching" workshops for your college / institution. In the past he has facilitated workshops/presented at national conferences.
